Terms of Use
Last updated July 5, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Zympl when you use the app. I've kept them short and readable. Using Zympl means you agree to them — if you don't, please don't use the app.
Who's behind this
Zympl — the web app at app.zympl.app and this site at zympl.app — is operated by its sole maker, based in California, United States. In these terms "we" and "I" both mean that operator, and "you" means you.
Zympl is early — use it as-is
Zympl is launched unfinished, on purpose. It's improving weekly, but it will have rough edges, bugs, and features that change or go away. It's provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. Don't rely on it as the only place you store something you can't afford to lose — keep your own copy of anything critical.
Free forever for early members
If you join while Zympl is early, the app stays free for you — no tiers, no locked features, no trial clock. That's a genuine commitment. Whatever Zympl grows into later, and whatever paid plans may appear for new members, people who joined early keep their full access free.
Your account
You're responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Give accurate information when you sign up, don't share your credentials, and let me know at hello@zympl.app if you think someone else has accessed your account.
Your content is yours
Everything you put into Zympl — tasks, journals, habits, goals, notes, time entries — belongs to you. I claim no ownership of it. You grant me only the limited permission needed to store, process, and display your content back to you so the app can function. You're responsible for what you create and store, and for having the right to store it.
Fair use
When you use Zympl, please don't:
- Break the law or use Zympl to harm others.
- Try to hack, overload, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the service, or access parts of it you're not meant to.
- Use automated means to abuse the service or scrape data that isn't yours.
- Resell or misrepresent the service as your own.
If an account abuses the service or these terms, I may suspend or close it to protect Zympl and its members.
Changes & availability
Because Zympl is actively built, I may add, change, or remove features, and there may be downtime for maintenance or reasons outside my control. I'll try to avoid disruption and to preserve your data, but I can't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Zympl and its maker aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of the app. Since Zympl is provided free to early members, my total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to use it — which is nothing. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.
Ending your use
You can stop using Zympl and delete your account at any time. I may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or if needed to protect the service or its members. If Zympl ever shuts down, I'll aim to give reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, and you agree to that jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms as Zympl evolves. When I do, I'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, give notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use Zympl after an update means you accept the new terms.
